CRASH AND BURN

With China having a billion and a half people but not 11 world class soccer players, I was given no choice but to cheer for my Asian brethens from the nearby neighborhood.

But alas, it was all for naught. Back to back disappointments by two of the most entertaining teams in the 02' World Cup. Japan never recovered from the opening shocker against Australia and Korea ran out of gas by game 3.

Oh well, at least we have overwhelming representation at the nation's finest colleges and universities. Hope to see them again in 2010 South Africa.
