暑かった先週の土曜日とは大違いの今週。
今夜はぐっすり眠れるだろう。
2日前に相棒が私の大好物のJelly BeansをCostcoで買ってきてくれた。
6ヶ月はもたせること、との条件付きで。
2日後あまりのハイスピードを見かねて、”6ヶ月は無理だ”とふんだ相棒は私の手の届かないところ
に隠してしまったのだ！
1日ちょこっとずつくれるらしい。まるで子供だ！！"Please give me a little bit, Kemble!"

I was flabbergasted when I saw this in the news today. Its a picture of a 12 year old participating in a hotdog eating contest in Oklahoma. This is just wrong for so many reasons !!!

WHAT WAS GOING THROUGH HIS MIND?

This is one of the cool paintings I saw at MOMA. Seen it before in artbooks but didn't realize how big it was (almost life size). This is just such surreal stuff. I love the guy with the net; kills me everytime. The name of the painter escapes me; if you have that info leave me a comment, saves me a google search.

WE ARE MELTINGGGGG

Monkey boy here has the right idea. It has been over 100 F degrees /42 C here in Los Angeles for the past week. On top of that, there is the new phenomenom of oppressive humidity. WTF? Maybe Al Gore was on to something with his rant about that Global Warming thing.

THE BIG APPLE

Summer vacation in the Big Apple. We are starting a 5 day exploration of NY. Quite the town as everyone has heard. Miyuki has an overwhelming obsession with Broadway musicals; so the first thing we did after checking into the hotel was to go to the box office. We saw, the current hit, Mama Mia. Wow! now I know why people go nuts. It was like one big party. The finale had everyone standing and dancing in their seats. Very moving stuff!

YOSHIMOTO

昨日友達と吉本新喜劇LA公演を観に行って来ました。
コダックシアターでやるなんて吉本もやるなあー！
アカデミー賞が行われる会場ではあるがテレビで見たよりも
すごく小さく感じた。2階席だったがしっかりみんなの顔を見ることができた。

それにしても満員の席、日本人ばっかり。こんなに日本人が集まるのを見るのは
初めてだ。

レギュラー、月亭八方さん、中田カウス、ボタン。の漫才が終わってから
新喜劇が始まった。
今田に内場、板尾さんに東野、花子までみんなプロだねえー。アドリブやみごとな間が
サイコーだった。あと池乃めだかさんもあんなに小さいとは思わなかった。でも超おもしろかった。
今まで知らなかったが中田カウス、ボタン、めっちゃおもしろかった。
1年に一回来てほしいな！笑いすぎたのか、帰り頭が痛くなった。
