CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH

Laika returned from the Vet a little groggy but otherwise with a clean bill of health.

The Vet really did a great job on her teeth; white as the day she was born. I think I'm going to use this guy instead of my regular dentist.

Good to be home.

GREAT BIKE TRAIL, LAIKA GOES TO SLEEP

After doing a bit of a Google search, I found some great bike trails in the LA area. Most of them run along the beach or parallel the local rivers; Went out and did a 20 mile ride today.

This Trail is right next to the El Monte Airport. You can watch planes and helicopters land and take off. Pretty cool.

On a separate note, Miyuki's recent dental problem reminded me to have Laika's teeth looked at. Tomorrow, she will be put under anasthesia and have her tarter and plaque removed. It's pretty funny to watch her walk out of the Veternarian's office all drowsy, stumbling like a drunken sailor.

BIG PROBLEM

　日曜日の夜から突然右上７番が痛み出した。
もう限界だ、、、。急性化膿性歯髄炎。
明日、抜髄してもらおう。
治してから１年ちょいしかもたなかったか。
残念無念！
ああー、アメリカの歯科は高額だからなあ、
どうしよう。

NEW FOUND FUN

To combat the tedium of the relentless Calfornia sunshine, we went out and bought montain bikes. I have to admit, Los Angeles (which is such a car-culture dominated city) looks a lot more interesting when you are riding around seeing it from a bicycle.

LAPTOP FOR THE MASSES

I'll be the first guy in line for this when it comes out. Can't wait to turn that little crank while drinking my espresso at the local Starbucks. Just imaging the looks on the faces of those wannabe's with their $$$ Mac-Mega-Poser-Notebooks.

KIKI BAKERY

今日は朝からサイクリング10：30に出発して１：00に戻ってきた。
向かい風の時もありややばてり気味、、、。
帰りに日曜市でトマトとタマリンドシャーベットを買ってきた。
8月にはいってからの私のお気に入り！！
ぬれせんべいとkiki Bakeryのパン。

ぬれせんべいのお餅のようなもちっと感、甘じょっぱい味もよいよい！
＄２.８９お買い上げー。
もう一つがKIKIのパン。
日本っぽい味、歯型が残るようなくにゅっと感、もちっと感のパンってなかなか探しても出会えなかったが
やっと見つけましたって感じ。
食パンも6枚ぎりやや厚めのとサンドイッチ用のと選べる。
他にもいろんな種類があってどれももちっと感があるので◎。

なんか今回”もちっと感”ばっかり。んんー、もちっと感って英語でなんて言うんだろう？

パートナーはよく書き置きを残してどっかへ出かける。
スターバックスやら、犬の公園やら。
わたしの小さいころよくお母さんも書き置きしてたなあ。っと思い出してみた。
そうそう、書き置きの横には食べ物もいっしょに置いてあったなあ。
いっしょじゃん！！
パートナーと私のお母さん、妙なところに共通点を見つけてしまった。

LA MARATHON

March 4th 2007 来年のＬAマラソンのコースが変わるらしい。
出発がユニバーサルスタジオになるそうな。
今年は練習してなかったために出れなかったけど
来年は挑戦してみたいな。
なぜかこの写真がお気に入りなのだ。
このボストンテリアが”ぬ！？”って言ってる声が聞こえてきそう。
