END OF THIS YEAR

はあ～、３０日だ。今日までバイトだった。
明日から３日間（ONLY）正月休みにはいるよ。
私の友達は２日から学校が始まるらしい。
そうなのだ、まったく正月の雰囲気がない。いつもの週末ってかんじ、、、。
そんなわけで、ちっこい剣山買ってきてお花をいけてみました。が、剣山小さすぎて
花が斜めに刺さってくれない。なんかいまいち、まあ雰囲気だけ楽しめたかな？

”正月”。私としては、温泉行って、おいしいもの食べてテレビ見て神社行っておみくじ引いて
一週間ゴロゴロこたつでまったりしたいところなんだがなあ～。

クリスマスをはさんで１週間近く風邪ひいてしまった。
病み上がりだったがせっかくのHolidayだったので近場の公園にみんなでお散歩。
コナンにとってははじめての場所だったが、がんばってLaikaの後をくっついて
歩いてました。”コナン君えらい＾ｖ＾”

It is that time of the year again. Time to take stock of your life and add up the merits and demerits. It is generally a stressful time for most people. T.S. Eliot once pointed out "humankind cannot bear very much reality."; Amen, Brotha!

One thing I do have in my merits column is the number of good books I read this year. Due to the special arrangements I have made at work, I am given an inordinate amount of time to indulge in my weakness for books. The ones that stood out as being particulary memorable this year were as follows:
