BE WITH ME

Spent an overcast weekend attending the Annual San Diego Asian Film Festival.

A BitterSweet Life to the somewhat amaturish oversentimental documentary Chinese Restaurants: Latin Passion, we were lucky enough to stumble across a gem of a little film called
Be with Me
The story of several lovelorn couples, including a 61 year old, deaf and blind woman, named Theresa Chan , was a pure revelation. The depth of emotions captured so poignantly, with just a minimal of dialugue, through this film, truely reaffirms my long held suspicion about the redemptive powers of great art.

TRUE SACRAFICE

(Note to self : It is very easy to be a back seat driver and criticize, that is the easy and cynical thing to do)
There are people who are making real sacrafices on a daily basis. To believe in something bigger than yourself and to be willing to sacrafice your life for it; even though I might not agree with the cause, I admire their determination. Sulute.
